Job Title:  Youth Pastor

Status:  Part Time – Approx 15-20 hrs a week (This job will have a small monetary stipend to begin, with the hope of developing into more as the ministry grows!)

This position contributes to the mission of Orchard Hill Church (OHC) to take people on a journey of Knowing God, Finding Freedom, Discovering Purpose, and Making a Difference.

This position will work with the lead pastor, staff and volunteers of OHC to reach and disciple, middle and high school students and oversee all aspects of youth ministry at OHC. The mission of Young Saints is to ignite a revival among the youth, empowering them to know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference in the world!

• Ability to communicate effectively in large and small settings
• Experience in problem solving
• Ability to handle multiple projects effectively
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
• Can effectively build and maintain healthy teams
• Experience in leading teams, services, as well as people in a youth ministry setting
• Ministry Training School preferred but not required

Weekly Responsibilities:

• Identify, invite, train, and empower leaders to be a part of the Student Ministry.
• During the week, invest in the lives of students by building relationships with them in the most effective way possible
• Facilitate a youth calendar that includes weekly youth group, special events, summer camp, etc.
• Schedule, book and follow up with supplemental student communicators in your absence.
• Act as the primary organizer of student Connect Groups.
• Meet with key volunteers on a regular basis (at least once a month) to invest in your leaders and to evaluate all aspects of OHC Student Ministries.
• Use discernment in determining office hours to ensure weekly tasks are completed and ministry is happening. We work towards the goal of doing things with excellence and making sure we don’t sacrifice the important for the urgent.

Weekly/Meeting Schedule:

• Attend weekly staff/team meeting.
• Attend and serve at weekly prayer gathering.
• Youth Group
• Attend and serve at all Sunday Morning services.

Sunday Responsibilities:

• Serve in some capacity on the Dream Team (our volunteer team) during Sunday morning services – Kids ministry, Audio/Visual, Transition Team, Prayer/ Ministry, Worship Team, etc, as scheduled.
• Attend and help serve at any other scheduled Sunday activities, such as, New Comers Lunch and Dream Team Leaders lunch/meeting, etc…
